This is a flash back episode. Iruka has just become Naruto's homeroom teacher, reluctantly. Another teacher tells Iruka to just ignore the students and they'll go away eventually. Naruto sleeps in class and creates mischief. Naruto gets upset when Iruka tells the rest of the class to "not to bother with this child" when they were making fun of him. Naruto finds out that Sasuke is the only member of the Uchiha clan left.
