Kabuto Yakushi, separated from his team, accompanies Team 7 to the tower in the center of the forest. Along the way, the group encounters a disorienting genjutsu set by the teammates of the Rain Genin Sasuke had earlier defeated. By the time they realize that they are not getting any closer to the center of the forest, they are attacked by a number of clones.
