Before the second exam can begin, Konohamaru and his friends pull the members of Team 7 aside for interviews, where they retell the storyline to this point. Anko briefs the candidates on their goal for the second portion of the exam. All teams will be given one scroll (either heaven or earth), with the objective being to take the other scroll from another team and proceed to the castle in the centre of the forest and the next stage of the exams. The proctor hands out scrolls and opens the forest gates. As they enter, Naruto's team is attacked almost immediately.
